Magnolia Vs Stampavie Week 15 Feel the Sketch

The challenge over at Magnolia Vs Stampavie this week is a fabulous sketch. The image I have used is the Sarah Kay stamp 'A little help from Margot' coloured with whispers and pearly paints. The designer paper is from Papermania 'Simply Elegant' The sentiment is one from a See D set stamped and embossed with clear powder. The heart pin is from the blog candy I won from Tara and the ribbon flower was made with little offcuts of ribbon that I had kept (don't throw anything away if I can help it)

Elzybells New Stamps

You just have to pop over to Elzybells to check out their new releases. They have six new clear stamp sets and 14 rubber stamps and what's more exciting is that they are giving away the full set as a blog candy to celebrate the release. My favourites are the tea for two and Just Desserts

Today's Cards

It has been quite a sad time for us lately, my Father-in-law passed away a fortnight ago and the funeral was last Friday, so as you can imagine there has been a lot going on, sorting out the funeral and making sure my mother-in-law, Betty was okay. Then the day after the funeral my husband's auntie passed away, so his uncle lost his brother and his wife within two weeks. They have only just told us about this as they thought we had enough on our plates.

Now the good news, don't they always say that when you have a death you always hear about a birth too. The week after Bert passed away my mum phoned me to tell me that my cousin Bev had given birth to a little boy so this is a card to celebrate his birth.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - The Zoo

I so enjoyed making the circle card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge I wanted to make another straight away so decided to join in with the Secret Crafter Challenge this week, which was to make a card with a zoo/animal element on.
The gorgeous Giraffe image is a free download from the fabulous Kerry Jo on her blog http://curlygirlyme.blogspot.com/ and the backing paper is from Scrapbook scrapbook.

PBSC 34 Circle Card

I have had an enjoyable afternoon making this card, I have never made a circle card before but would definitely make another. I am so jealous of all you lucky peeps who have the nesties, I will just have to save up my pennies. The stamp I have used is Cheesecake Party from the Critter Party Transparent set. I really enjoy joining in with these challenges as they get the brain cells working, this card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Well it has been snowing here off and on all day but has now started to stick so if it carries on like this I will be digging my car out of the drive tomorrow to go to work.
