Stewart's Birthday

It is my son Stewart's birthday on Sunday, he will be 20.  How come every year this is the most difficult card to make, I nearly always leave it til the last minute.  I  like this card for somebody else but I don't really think it is right for Stewart but it'll have to do for now.  I usually try to do something that ties in with his interests and hobbies and in the past I have liked the cards I have made him but this year my mojo has totally left me!!  What am I like!!!!!  My daughter says it is fine, but that's what she always says about my cards.

I have used 'Sitting Edwin' coloured with Promarkers and Glamour Dust on wings
Papermania collosal paper pack 'For Him'
Happy Birthday cut out from Cuttlebug Folder
Eyelets and Ribbon from stash.
Cuttlekids Letters

New Baby Girl

This is my second post of today. When I came home from work yesterday, next door was bedecked with baby girl banners and balloons so I dashed straight in and made this card. The light was too bad last night to get a good photo so had to wait until I got home today. I've just pushed it through next door and will call around to see them at the weekend, they have lots of visitors at the mo.

Friday Sketch and Stampavie Challenge

I have combined two challenges in this card, I loved the sketch at Friday Sketchers and also the colour challenge at Stampavie which was to use the colours Pink, Brown and optional Green.

I have used a Sarah Kay stamp 'Precious Moments' coloured with whispers pens. The bottom layer of paper is from the large Costco set and the top layers are Papermania. The sentiment is Cuddly Buddly. Punched flowers.

Clare's 21st Photo Album

It is my son's girlfriend Clare's birthday on Wednesday and as she is having a big birthday party with over 200 people going on Friday I thought a photo album would be a good idea for the piccies we will all take at the party.

I bought a bog standard photo album from Wilkinsons for £2.99 and then altered it with die cut letters, papers, ribbons, gems and sequins from my stash. I don't know if it needs anything else, any ideas would be most welcome.

The Colour Create Challenge this week is Black, White and Pink and so as this project has all those colours it would be rude not to enter it wouldn't it!!

Just Magnolia Challenge

This is my card for the very first Just Magnolia Challenge. The sketch is a fab one designed by Donalda. Go and check out the blog and have a go, take a look at the Design Team's fab cards they will give you lots of inspiration, no, on second thoughts don't bother looking as there are too many entries already and I want to win the magnificent prize they are offering lol.

I have used Baking Tilda coloured with Promarkers and gone over with Pearly Paints from the Works. Wings coated with Glamour Dust. Backing Papers Jumbo pack from Costco. Sizzix die cuts. Papermania sentiment. Ribbon and gems from stash.

Colour Create and CCSR challenge

I have combined two challenges for this card. The first is the Colour Create Challenge which this week is to use Duck Egg Blue and Rose. I really enjoyed combining these colours. The second challenge is Clare Curd Signature Range which is to make your own flowers. I hope these flowers count as I have just simply stamped them and cut them out. I have used the flowers and butterfly stamps from Clares Doodle stamp set and the sentiment from Clares Sentiment set.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Wow another challenge card finished. I am on a roll this week. This one is for the PBSC and the challenge this week is Easter. Over on the Docrafts site we do a monthly friendship swap, we are partnered up with another member at the beginning of the month and have to swap cards so I thought an Easter card would be ideal. I hope she doesn't see my blog as we don't post our cards on Docrafts until we know the other member has received it.

I have used the 6 geese a laying stamp from the 12 days of Christmas transparent stamp set coloured with whispers and pearly paints. Cuttlebug embossing folder bloom dots. Sentiment is a free download from Pink Petticoat. Ribbon and sequins/gems from stash. The flower is a sticker that I won as part of a prize on Docrafts.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This is my second challenge card today. I had to make a card for my Auntie Christine who is moving to Cleethorpes to be with her new gentleman friend. She is renting out her house in Manchester and moving in with him. We will all miss her especially my mum as she is her little sister and they always go away on holiday and do their shopping together.

I have used the 4 calling birds stamp from Penny Black 12 days of christmas, coloured with whispers. Papermania paper and punched flowers. Inside the card reads 'keep in touch'. I have really enjoyed using this sketch which was designed by Tracie for Sketch Saturday and there are two yummy Penny Black stamps for the prize.

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

This is a card for my sister Dawn. It is her birthday today so I know I am cutting it a bit fine but her husband Freddy has taken her away for a Surprise Weekend to London. He organised tickets for them to see Simply Red at the O2 arena on Friday night and tickets for the musical Hairspray last night. I hope she enjoyed herself, I am sure she did.

Back to the card, I have used the fab sketch from A spoonful of sugar challenge designed by Lim for this card. I have used whispers pens to colour Tilda, Basic Grey 'Two Scoops' backing paper, Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots and embossing border folder 'just my type'. Punched flowers and sequins from stash.
I don't know what time Dawn and Freddy are getting back but we are looking after their dog Fudge so I will see her at some point today to give her this card.
