2 Challenge Card

I am entering this card into 2 Challenges. The first is the Just Magnolia Challenge which is a fabulous sketch designed by Martine. I've really enjoyed making this card even though it seems to have taken all morning. The second challenge I am entering is A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which this week is Kitchen/Cooking

I have used this cute little stamp that I won in Ila's blog candy 'Tilda with Cowberry Muffin' coloured with Promarkers and the pearly paints from The Works. The shelf is also from Ila and I have paper pieced the kitchen towels. The backing paper is My Minds Eye. The sentiment stamp and mixing bowl is from a little set I have had for ages and never used from the Unity Stamp Company. The tape across the card is Self adhesive plasterboard tape. Flower is a cuttlebug die cut. Ribbon and button from stash. Branch punch.

Right better get going now and sort the house out, it's my last day off work today and it looks as if a bomb has hit it. Emily has gone to Alton Towers with 3 of her friends so I have been left in peace. It doesn't close until 9pm tonight (ScareFest) so they will be on the rides in the dark. Chris is picking them up so I am not expecting any of them back until at least 10.30pm.

Colour Create Challenge

This card is for the Colour Create Challenge which this week is 'All White'. You have to predominantly use the colour white and only use another colour on the image. I have printed the 'image' from Word on the computer and highlighted with Glamour Dust. I have passed a piece of tracing paper through the cuttlebug with snowflakes folder. I have matted the 'image' onto white pearlescent card and also die cut some Sizzlits snowflakes. I really struggled to get a good photo, took about 20 and this is the best.

2 Christmas Cards Today

The first card is for the little girl next door who was born back in April. This is a free digital image from Dustin Pike. I have coloured with Promarkers and used backing papers that I had left over from a couple of years ago.

The second card I have made is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. This week there is a fab sketch designed by Kathy and should include the added option of lace. I have used this cute little Manga image coloured with Promarkers. The backing paper is from Stampin Up, the snowflakes I won in a Blog Candy, gems and lace from stash.

Thanks for any comments you may leave and hope you have a great weekend. It is chucking it down here in Manchester at the minute, we haven't had much rain lately so can't really grumble but hope it doesn't last too long. I am off work now until Thursday, yeah!!!! so hope to get some more Christmas cards made and then relax. Usually I am still making them a couple of weeks before Christmas so I am well ahead this year. Off to look for a new carpet for the lounge now but will pop back later to go hopping. Best wishes Debs xx

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Well what a lovely morning it is here, the sun is shining and I have been left in peace to craft. I think I am still recovering from yesterday. We held a drop in flu clinic at work and over 700 people turned up for their flu jab. It was my job to enter all the patient details on the comp so this morning my back, shoulders and neck are aching and my fingers havn't woken up yet. Yeah and in another couple of weeks I'll have to do it all again when the swine flu vaccine is released. Joy!!

My card today is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. It is to make a christmas card using Tiets fabulous sketch

Stamp Nellie with Crochet Hat and Scarf coloured with Promarkers. Backing paper Stamping Up. Cuttlebug/Sizzix Snowflakes. Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch. SeeD sentiment.

Nicola's 21st Birthday

This is a card I have made for the daughter of my friend. I have decoupaged the Tatty Ted, though it is not easy to see on the photo. I am finding it so difficult to get good photos, now that the nights are drawing in and the days are so dull. Even with all the lights on I still seem to get dreary photos.

The text is computer generated, the fonts are Papyrus and Scriptina. I have put Anitas gloss on the glass and bubbles. Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Folder. Ribbon and gems from stash.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

The challenge at Sugar Bowl this week is a lovely sketch with the added option of paper piecing. For this card I have used the gorgeous Sugar Nellie Stamp Pen Pals and coloured her with Promarkers. I have paper pieced her headscarf and blouse. I havn't tried this before but found it quite easy and very effective. The papers are all Stamping Up, Sentiment Clare Curd, Flowers and Gems from stash and punched leaves. Corners are a Cuttlebug die.

More Christmas Cards

I am on a roll. Not fed up of making them yet (sorry if you are sick of seeing them). I'll try and get a couple more done today once the h*******k is finished. Sorry about the poor photos but my camera has now officially died and I have had to use my scanner.

This is my second post of today so please scroll down and take a look at my other cards.

3 Challenges today

The Just Magnolia Challenge is to use hand made flowers or with diecut or punch. I have made these poinsettias with the fab instructions here and Stamping Up papers.
The sketch is a fab one from Ila at Sweet Magnolias. The Challenge at Simon Says is to use the colours Red and Green.
The fab image is Ice Skating Tilda coloured with Promarkers. Gems from my stash. Sentiment See D. Just noticed I havn't glittered her wings so will go and do that straight away.

Christmas Cards

A few more Christmas cards to add to my box. I have used the 12 days of Christmas Penny Blacks that I got in the sales after last Christmas, coloured with Promarkers, whispers and watercolour pencils
