Pearls and Swirls

This my final week as a Guest Designer over at I love Promarkers and the challenge this week is Pearls and Swirls.  The sponsor for this week is Pollycraft who have given all the DT a digistamp to work with.  Mine is called 'Penelope'.

I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

New Craft Room

I really enjoy looking at everybody elses craft rooms in blogland so thought I would upload a few pics of mine while it is looking tidy.  My hubby and son have just finished decorating the dining room and we have bought some new cupboards from Ikea so I can hide all my stuff away when I've finished (yeah, like that's going to happen!!!)  We plan to use the room as a chill out zone, where I can go to do my cards, where Emily can do her college work or read a book in peace and where Chris can listen to his footie on the radio.  I think I'll be spending the longest time in there and it won't be long before the table is piled high again with my stuff.

Just need to get some pictures on the walls (it's looking very bare at the mo) and a new tablecloth (the blue doesn't go) and put all my books back on the shelves and I think it will be finished.

Christmas Card

This week's Christmas Card is another for a few challenges. The first challenge is for Bah Humbug. I started with this challenge in January and haven't missed a week yet!! My shoe box is now overflowing and I have started to fill a plastic folder. I might even have too many cards by the time Christmas arrives but I am sure my mum will be happy to have my leftovers lol. This weeks Bah Humbug challenge is 'Stars'

I have used this gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamp 'Skating Along' and coloured her with Promarkers.  The backing papers are a free download from The Craft Table - Winter Wonderland

Lili of the Valley - Untraditional Christmas
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - Christmas Furry Things

The only colour you can use is on the image.   The sponsor this week is  the Digi Doodle Shop and they have kindly given us an image to use.  I have used this lovely image called 'Angel 2'.  Isn't she fab!!

I have coloured her with Promarkers and coated her wings in glamour dust.  I have used the cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder for the background and die cut snowflakes.  Added ribbon and gems from stash as a finishing touch.

Sticker Christmas Card

This week's Christmas Card is for 3 challenges.   The first 2 are Bah Humbug and Die Cut Dreams which this week have both got the theme of Text only.

I have used the sketch from 'Sweet Sketch Wednesday'.  For this card, again I have left my comfort zone and used these stickers that I have had for a while.  They are from Scenic Route Paper and are called Garland Holiday Memories.  The backing papers are from my scrap drawer and are Stamping Up and DCWV.

Santa Card

Good Morning.  Sorry I haven't been around for a while.  We have had a busy week with it being Emily's 18th and we had to go to take a look around Birmingham Uni at the weekend so didn't really have much time for making cards.

I am back now with my second GDT card for I love Promarkers.  The challenge this week was a fab sketch designed by Wynneth with the added challenge of Rip it Up.  I am not a great fan of ripping, every time I have tried it in the past it has looked a mess but this time I quite like it.  I think it looks better with the glitter around the edge.

I am also entering this card into the weekly Bah Humbug Challenge.  This week it is to use your favourite medium.  My favourite medium has to be Promarkers, but I also love my glamour dust.  I think you will find it on most of my Christmas Cards this year.

Finally I am entering my card into this weeks ABC Christmas Challenge which this week is S for Santa (extra challenge No Red)

I have used my favourite Sugar Nellie Santa image coloured with Promarkers.  The backing papers are from my scrap drawer and I have cuttlebugged the pink paper.  The sentiment is for Impressions Clear Art Stamps.  Die Cut Snowflakes.  Glamour Dust.  Gems from stash.

Sugar Nellie Christmas

I found a bit of time today after doing the h*******k so decided to make another Christmas Card to add to my ever growing collection.  I have been joining in with the All Things Sugar Nellie challenges over on Papercraft Planet.  It is a lovely forum with only a few members at the moment and we are trying to drum up some more support. So if you have any Sugar Nellies get over there and join in.  Every week the winner gets to choose 3 Nellies of their own choice and as there are only a few members you have a BIG chance of winning!!

This weeks challenge is to use 'More than one stamp' so I have used these cute Christmas Stamps by Mary Hall, 'Wrapped Up Toddlers' and 'Pulling Sledge'.  I haven't made a DL card in years but thought these 2 stamps were perfect for this.   I have coloured them with Promarkers and added Glamour Dust and the fake snow from BM's.  Last weeks challenge was to make your own backing paper and as I missed that one I have used it on this card and stamped the snowflakes.  The ribbon, gems and snowflakes are from my stash.

I am also entering this card into DieCut Dreams Christmas Challenge - Children's Christmas

EDIT  Just noticed I haven't coloured the hair.  Will go and do it straight away!!

Guest Designer Card

Woo Hoo!! I have been chosen to join the lovely ladies over at I love Promarkers for the rest of September as their Guest Designer.  The first challenge has the theme of 'Transport'.

I have chosen to use this cute Penny Black Stamp 'Hitchin a ride', coloured with Promarkers.  The backing papers are a free download called 'A touch of Elegance' but as usual I can't remember where they came from.  Punched flowers, brads, lace and pearls from stash.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I am also entering this card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which this week is to use the colours, purple, cream and brown.

Blue Christmas

This week's Christmas card is for 3 challenges.  The first is Bah Humbug Challenge 34 - Christmas Carol/Song.  The song I have chosen for this is 'Blue Christmas' by Elvis.  It was going to be 'Walking in the Air' but as my daughter pointed out "he is not exactly walking is he!!".  The second challenge is a recipe from Winter Wonderland - 4 papers, 3 snowflakes and a Snowman/woman.  Finally the third challenge is the sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar.

The image was a fab freebie download from Just Inklined.  Sorry he is not a freebie any more but you can buy him in the shop.  I have coloured him with Promarkers.  The papers are Dovecraft Christmas Blues.  The snowflakes are Cuttlebug dies and Martha Stewart Punch.  I have used Glamour Dust and the fake snow from B&Ms.

Emily's 18th

Oh my goodness, my baby will be 18 on Wednesday, how old do I feel!!  Anyways I got up early this morning to make her card before she got out of bed (usually around 11 on a Sunday).  I bought this Kenny K 'Lady Raven' image this week and before I started I just checked out the blog to get inspiration and would you believe it a new challenge started today so I had to join in didn't I.  The Kenny K challenge for this week is Swirls and Pearls.

I have coloured her with Promarkers.  Emily has got a pair of Doc Marten boots in turquoise so I tried to make these look similar.  Em's are not this high though, how on earth can she walk in these.  The backing paper is a digital download, sorry I don't know where from.  Sizzix die cut 'Scribble Swirls'.  Charm, ribbon, button and pearl from stash.  I have coloured the cream pearl with black Promarker.

The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.
