Christmas Card #7

My card today is my weekly Christmas Card for the Bah Humbug Challenge.  This week it is 'Things that fly'.  I downloaded this freebie digi stamp from Just Inklined '4 Robins' a while ago and never used it.

I thought promarkers would be too deep for this image so dragged out my watercolours which haven't seen the light of day in a while.  I think I need a bit more practice with them though.  The red holly paper is a free download from Cuddly Buddly and the green holly paper is a scrap I had left from a very old paper pack.  The sentiment is a freebie from the front of a magazine and the poinsetta was from a prize win at Bah Humbug.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday - The sketch
ABC Challenge - O for Ovals
ABC Christmas Challenge - 1 digi, 2 papers and 2 embellishments (poinsetta and ribbon)
Crazy 4 Challenges - Flowers

Baby Girl Cards x 2

Do you remember me saying a while ago that there were a few babies due soon.  Well the Law of Sod has struck again,  I had 2 baby boy cards ready to go and you guessed it, its a girl.  Baby Isobel has arrived.  I had one card for the new mum already but still had to make 2 for the new grannies who |I work with.

Here is the first.

I am entering this card into a few challenges.
A  Gem of  a Challenge - Buttons, Brads, Beads and Bows
Digital Tuesday - Punches
Totally Papercraft - Do it with Dig
Die Cut Dreams - Baby Girl

The cute giraffe is a digi stamp from Pink Gem Designs and it is coloured with Promarkers.  Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Here's my second card.

I am entering this one into a couple of challenges too

I love Promarkers - Stitching

I have used this cute Sugar Nellie stamp 'Circle of Life' and coloured with Promarkers.  She looked a bit boyish so I drew a bow in her hair.  I guess that's what we do with real babies when they haven't got much hair, stick a bow on so strangers don't say aww what a lovely little boy lol.  Papers are Stamping Up and Basic Grey.

Paul's 40th Take 2

I kept going back to look at Paul's card from yesterday and just couldn't put my finger on what was wrong.  Then I got a fab constructive comment from Abi saying that the background was too white.  That's exactly what was wrong with it so I took it all apart and printed off another stripey digi paper, again from Summer Driggs and now I like it a whole lot better.

What do you think?

Paul's 40th

A colleague at work has asked me to make a card for her partner's 40th. I really hate making cards for other people to give and especially those dreaded men cards.  I quite like the way this one has turned out but still feel there is something 'missing' so if you have any ideas I would appreciate them.

I am entering this one into this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge 'Men's Card'.
The stamp is PB 'Bubble of Joy' coloured with Promarkers.
Papers - Free download from Summer Driggs

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Shiny, happy cards.
Stamp Something - Something Funky
One Stop Craft Challenge - Birthday Card

Christmas Card (Sort Of) #7

Good afternoon everyone. Another miserable day here in Manchester, drizzly rain and freezing cold.  The crocus have started to pop up though so hopefully it will warm up soon.

My project today is for the Bah Humbug Challenge which this week is Ann's Challenge 'Use a CD/DVD.  I checked on Splitcoast Stampers and found the instructions to make a CD/DVD holder.

and here's a pic of it open

Emily is a real film buff and always gets loads of DVDs for Christmas so I might make a few more of these.

I have used the Penny Black stamp Winter Snuggles from the Jolly Holly set and coloured with Promarkers.  I have used glamour dust for the snow.  The papers are Stamping Up and the Sentiment is from last years Bah Humbug win.

I am also entering this into:
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything but a card.
Secret Crafter - Fancy Folds

Christmas Card #6

Good evening, sorry about the quality of this pic but I haven't been home early enough to get a photo in natural light so I think this is the best it is going to be.

My card today is for the weekly Bah Humbug Challenge which this week is to use a doily. When I saw this panic set in as I have never used a doily. Went down to local Wilkies and found a pack of 20 in various sizes. I have used the smallest in the pack for this card.  Heaven knows what I am going to do with the rest!!

I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

Stamp - Art Impressions Christmas Mailbox coloured with Promarkers.
Papers -  Zoe Pearn Happy Holidays
Sentiment - Digital, sorry can't remember where from.
Martha Stewart Punch - Arch Lattice

I'm Back

I'm back with my second card today. It's a birthday card for a lady at work.  I have used this gorgeous digi image from Mo Manning 'Penelope's Party Wagon' and coloured it with Promarkers.

Sorry about the picture but the light here today has been horrendous, if it is any brighter tomorrow I will edit it.

The papers are a free digi download from Zoe Pearn called 'So Sweet'.  Aren't they lovely.

I am entering this card into 2 challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - The Sketch
Stamp Something - Digi Day

Hippie Chick

I've been meaning to join in with the Sugar Bowl challenge since I first saw the fabulous sketch and have now finally had time!  Chris has gone out walking this morning.  He is doing The 3 Peaks later on this year and needs all the practice he can get.  He has done (as have I) all the 3 Peaks but with a gap in between and he thinks it will be a doddle doing them all in one go.  I think he is mad but proud of him for attempting it.  I did all 3 in a month and it took a while for my legs to recover.  Emily hasn't made it down the stairs yet, I think I have heard her moving about but haven't seen her yet and Stewart, well I haven't seen him since Thursday!!  He is starting his new job tomorrow so making the most of his last days as a student.  He graduated in July and has been out of work since then.

I have used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie Sassy stamp 'Hippie Chick' coloured with Promarkers.  Isn't she fab!

Papers - Stamping Up and My Minds Eye
Sentiment - Paula Pascuale
Sizzix Swirl
Woodware leaf punch
Gems and flowers from stash.
I am also entering this card into:
Colour Create Challenge - Lemon, Green and White
Top Tip Tuesday - Girlie

Right I am off to see if I can get another birthday card done before I get interrupted.  Might see you later!!

Another Baby Boy Card

Hasn't it been a funny day today, freezing rain this morning then sunshine and then rain again.  I've made another baby boy card today, love doing these.

I am entering it into the Sketch and Stash Challenge which is a lovely sketch by Vicky and also into Meljens Designs Challenge which this week is 'hearts'.

I have used this cute 'Little Donkey' image by Meljen and coloured it with Promarkers.  The papers are a digital download but I am sorry I don't know where from.  Can you tell me if you know where please.  The colours are crisper and brighter in real life but couldn't get a good photo.

I am also entering this card into:
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Old Macdonald had a farm
Fab n Funky - Delight in your Digi
