Blue and White Christmas

Oh my gosh, 2 Christmas Cards in one weekend, whatever next.  I was supposed to be making a girly Birthday card but my brain just went dead so off I went to check out the blogs and decided to go with this instead hoping it would wake those brain cells up but nope, still got no idea.  Birthday is not until the end of June so I've got plenty of time.

I am entering it into the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland - Blue and White (There's also a blog hop to celebrate their 2nd birthday)
My Time to Craft - Use a Diecut
Sketch Saturday - The Sketch (Blog Hop to celebrate 3rd Blogaversary)
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Things with wings
Christmas Stampin' All year round - To Die For
PaperCrafting Journey - Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge - Things with wings

I've used the cute Penguin image from Pink Petticoat's Have an Ice Christmas and coloured with Promarkers.  The backing paper is from the Lidl Art and Craft pad from about 2 years ago, not much left of it now.  I've run the blue card through the snowflake and swiss dots embossing folders.  The border is using Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch.  I've glittered the snow and the glittery ribbon is made by glittering some thin DST.

Quick post tonight. Here's my entry for this week's Bah Humbug challenge which this week is to incorporate bells.

I have used this gorgeous digi stamp from Just Inklined and coloured with Promarkers.  The backing paper is another digi but sorry don't know where from.  If I find out I'll come back and edit my post.  The ribbon is from my stash.

LOTV Dandelion

Good Afternoon, I wanted to get out in the garden today, but as usual the weather foiled my plans.  It looks like a jungle out there, everything has just shot up.  At least there is no room for the weeds.  I did manage to sort out some of the pots as I have a little lean to shed at the side of the house which protected me from the rain and gales.

So with the little bit of extra time I had I made this card for the LOTV challenge which this week is 'Here comes Summer'.

I have used my cute little Dandelion stamp and coloured her with Promarkers.  The wings have been painted with the shimmery paints from The Works and sprinkled with glamour dust.  The papers are My Minds Eye.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday - The Sketch
Sweet Stampin - In the Garden
Paper Crafting Journey - Get Well Soon
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girly
Simon Says Stamp - Sparkle and Shine
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes

Snow Juggler

ugWell I was so late with last week's Christmas card, I was determined to get this weeks made at the first opportunity.

After a quick tidy up and a cup of tea whilst wandering through blogland this morning (sorry I didn't have time to leave comments, I was on a mission lol, searching for ideas)  I got cracking.

The ladies over at Humbug Hall are challenging us to make a card that moves.  I searched through all my old tutorials and most of the moving cards involved pulling bits out, plastic bags and all kinds of things so decided they would take too long and just went with this suspended tag card.  The tag spins around to show the 2 sentiments.

I am entering it into the following challenges:

The Sugar Bowl - Sketch
Winter Wonderland - P is for   (Pink, Polka Dots, Punch)
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - Scallops

Right off to have a bit of lunch and another wander around the blogs.  I noticed this morning everyone was saying how lovely the weather is, well its not here in Manchester, its blooming perishing and looks like its about to rain :(.

Pink Petticoat Wedding Card

Good Afternoon, another dull and dismal day here in Manchester.  Haven't been out today but got a lot of the dreaded h*******k and flattening of clothes done.  Only me and Emily home at the moment and she won't be back from college until 5 so had a lovely peaceful day to myself.  Chris flew out to the Czech Republic yesterday for work and won't be back until tomorrow.

Debby at work has asked me to make a wedding card for friends of hers and this is what I have come up with.  She told me the words she wanted on the front, a wedding cake and the colour pink.

I am entering it into the Less is More challenge.  This is the first time I have entered this challenge after seeing loads of fabulous cards.  The theme this week is a one layer card and embossing.  I have used a brass stencil to emboss the dots around the edge and the little hearts in the corners.  The cake is a digi image from Pink Petticoat.

I am also entering it into:
A Spoonful of Sugar - Anything Goes
Wags and Whiskers - Circles
Crafty Cardmakers - Embossing

I'm such an idiot!!!

Well I did have a card to post today but stupid me forgot to take a piccy and its been posted.  It was lovely too, if I do say so myself lol and it would have fitted in with quite a few challenges.  Oh well that's life I suppose.

Just been shopping for a few bits and now I'm going to sort out the house and then settle down to watch the match.  I do hope Man City win, its about time they won something.  Chris has been climbing again this morning, he camped out in all that rain last night so that he could get an early start and be back for kick off, I haven't heard from him yet but I'm sure he'll be alright.  It's dad's 70th tomorrow so we are all going round there.  I'm going to get a few nibbles prepared as mum is still not up to going out.  I've had my orders from her though, she wants kebabs, ribs and a trifle.

Christmas Tilda

Well it's another miserable day here in Manchester but warm and muggy!!.

No doubt you will have heard the news all over blogland that there is a cheeky mare on Ebay selling a CD with cards made with Sugar Nellie images. So I popped over to have a nosey and got the shock of my life.  One of my cards was included on the CD.  She is saying she has got permission to use them and has even paid for the use of them, well she hasn't paid me or any of the others anything.  This CD has now been taken off Ebay but she has loads of others including Tildas, Stamping UP, etc.  Bev and Maddy have set up a new forum Stop Thieves so please pop over and take a look.  Suffice to say I am not a happy bunny and will be watermarking all my cards from now on.  I have also joined My Free

Anyway onto this week's Christmas Card.  Again it fits into a few challenges.

I have used this gorgeous Tilda with Heart Ornament and coloured her with Promarkers.  I've added a bit of 3D gloss to the heart and sprinkled on a tiny bit of glamour dust.  The papers are from my scraps drawer and matted onto a piece of red card that came as packing in the deeds to my house which I received last week (yyyyyyaaaaaaaaayyy finally paid off the mortgage!!)  Ribbon and gems from stash and white gel pen faux stitching to finish.

Challenges entered:

Bah Humbug - Recycling or Shades of Green
Winter Wonderland - The Colours of Christmas
Sparkle's Forum - Holly or Ivy
Sketch Saturday - The Sketch
Just Magnolia - Anything Goes with option of stitching

I've used this fab digi from Just Inklined 'Albert' and coloured him with Promarkers.  I have added a wee bit of glitter gel pen on the edges of the mirrors and lamps and coated the visor in some distress stickles.  The font was created on the comp using Morpheus font.  I am entering it into the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - Open Challenge
