Debby's Birthday

Good Afternoon everybody.  Another shocking day with the weather.  Rain, rain and more rain, a bit of hail and thunder and lightning and now the sun has come out.  Moan, moan, moan its all I seem to do just lately.  Oh well, I've got the week off work now and I'm not going to let the weather spoil it.  I'll just have to get my waterproofs out again lol.

My card today is one for Debby at work.  She is really patriotic and has got union jack bunting up in her office so I think she'll like this card.

I used the freebie Portobello Road papers that came in the Creativity Magazine

Penny Black Birthday

Good Afternoon everybody. Is it ever going to stop raining. As I write the rain is bouncing off the windows. It was lovely on Wednesday (my usual day off work) so I went to 3 garden centres and bought some lovely plants and some veg for my new veggie plot. I was hoping to get them planted this weekend but it doesn't look like there's much chance of that.

It's my lovely mum's birthday tomorrow and here's the card I made.

Nutcrafters Challenge 20 - Spots and/or Stripes

Good Morning Crafters.

It's time for another challenge at Nutcrafters and this time it has been set by the lovely Helen.

She has decided to set the challenge of:

Spots and/or Stripes

So that means anything that includes spots, stripes or both.

We would love to see some of you joining in with the challenge this week.

You don't need to use a Nutcrafters image but we would love it if you do.
Main Prize (You need to use a Nutcrafters image)

2nd Prize (No need to use Nutcrafters image, just follow the challenge) 2 Digi stamps or 1 Stamp Sheet (subject to availability)

Here's my card:

I have used the cute digi image - Seaside Duo Boy
Coloured with Promarkers
The backing papers, flower and Sentiment are from a free digi kit from http://kcbdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/ called Bon Voyage.
I have cut out the flower and sentiment but layered the backing papers on the computer with the image, added a couple of shadows and then printed and coloured. So no matting and layering.

It was nice and easy for a quick card but I do like getting messy with cutting and sticking so don't know if I'll do many more like this.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Red, White and Blue
The Artistic Stamper - Red, White and Blue
Creative Inspirations - Red, White and Blue
Paper Makeup - Seeing Spots

Have a lovely day. Take Care.

Saturated Canary Birthday

Good morning all.   Aren't these weekends coming around fast.  I've read a few blogs this morning saying it is sunny but guess what................................  Its raining here and doesn't look like it is about to stop any time soon :(

I'm a happy bunny though because my baby is home from Uni for the Summer..... Yayy she turned up about 10 last night so my dining room is now full of boxes and bags.  Its usually me messing it up with all my crafty bits lol.  Chris and Emily have just gone out to buy some of those vacuum storage bags so we can put her bulky stuff, duvets, pillows, woollies etc away (although I think she should keep her woollies out the way the weather is)

I have a few birthdays coming up in June and July so thought I had better get cracking or it will be a night before job.

I have used this cute Saturated Canary freebie - Ava
Coloured with Promarkers
Papers - Dovecraft Back to Basics III
Sentiment Whimsy Stamps
Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
Ribbon, gems, lace and flowers from stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Crowns and/or gems
Saturated Canary - Anything Goes
Craft your days away - Bingo - Flowers, ribbon/lace, gems

Jubilee Weekend

Good Afternoon all.

Hope you are enjoying the jubilee weekend. We haven't really done much. We went to Hardwick Hall on Sunday where there was supposed to be a 1950s style street party but that was a bit of a washout so we just had a mooch around the hall and then left to go see Emily in Lincoln. She is coming home from uni next week so as we were only 45 mins away we thought we would go see her and bring some of her stuff back so there wouldn't be as much to carry next week. We went for a lovely meal and it was so nice to see her and catch up.

Yesterday we just did a bit of shopping and tidying up.  Today Chris is out in the garden.  He is making a new bed at the end of the garden where hopefully we are going to grow some fruit and veg.

I thought as I had a couple of hours to spare before the French Open, mens quarter finals start I would get another Christmas card made to add to my collection

Top Tip - When cutting the glitter card, put your double sided tape on the back first so the glitter doesn't flake off and leave a white edge.

Image Pink Petticoat - Have an Ice Day
Coloured with Promarkers
Matted onto glitter card from Wilkies.
Martha Stewart Punch - Arch Lattice
gems and ribbon from stash.

I am entering it into a few challenges:
ABC Christmas - K - Keep it Simple
Crafty Hazel - Right Royal Purple
Top Tip Tuesday - Sparkle (Gems, Glitter card and sparkle in the faux snow)
